Q8 Interview Q1 Description Speaking Interview
Thank you for your participation. I have some questions about your outdoor activities. First, what kind of outdoor sports do you or your friends generally like to do? For example, do you like hiking, cycling, tennis, or other types of sport?

  • State the habit or experience directly, then add a reflective reason.
  • Use pauses after contrast markers such as although, not simply, and rather than.
My friends generally like hiking and cycling because these activities are active but not too competitive. Hiking is especially popular because it gives people a chance to talk while enjoying fresh air. Some friends also play tennis, but that requires more skill and planning. Outdoor sports are appealing because they combine movement, scenery, and informal social time.

I prefer doing outdoor activities with friends or family. Being with others makes the activity feel safer and more enjoyable, especially if the place is unfamiliar. Interesting. Next I'd like to get your opinion where I live outdoor activities are becoming increasingly popular. Do you think that in the place you live, the popularity of outdoor activities will increase in the future? Why or why not?

I think outdoor activities will become more popular where I live. Many people spend too much time indoors and want healthier ways to relax. Good points. I just have one more question. Some people believe that outdoor activities are essential for children's physical and mental health. Do you agree with this idea? Or do you think indoor activities can be just as beneficial for children? Explain why you think so.

  • Give a nuanced position with concession before your main argument.
  • Use intonation to signal contrast, qualification, and final judgment.
I agree that outdoor activities are very beneficial for children. They help children build strength, confidence, and social skills. Indoor activities can be useful too, but outdoor play gives children sunlight, space, and a chance to explore the real world directly. Outdoor activities are especially valuable because children need unstructured physical exploration, not only organized indoor learning.
