Thank you for being part of the study. I'd like to ask you some questions about your experiences with social gatherings. First, do you enjoy attending large social gatherings or do you prefer smaller, more private gatherings? Why is that?

I prefer smaller gatherings because conversations feel more natural. At large events, I often spend too much energy trying to find someone I know. In a small group, people can speak more honestly, and it is easier to remember the evening afterward. I find smaller gatherings more rewarding because they allow reciprocal attention, not just surface-level interaction.

Before a social gathering, I usually think about who will be there and what kind of mood the event has. I focus most on being prepared to join conversations, so I might remember a few recent events or questions I can ask people. Preparation is partly practical, but it is also social anticipation, because I want to enter the room ready to connect.
